The wefts are attached solely using silicone lined beads and string, making it the healthiest extension method available for your hair. If you’re looking for just volume, (maybe even just on the sides), a little length to get you through the weird-length-phase when you’re growing out your hair, or a full on transformation, the Habit Extension Method is totally the way to go.
HOW ARE THEY PUT IN?
First, a track of beads and string are applied to the hair, and then the wefts are sewn to that string. There aren’t many points of contact on the hair, but not so few that it will cause your hair to break or fall out. Too few points of contact can cause tension alopecia and hair breakage – and that’s the opposite of what we’re going for, right?! Most gals have 3 rows of extensions for the most natural look, this totally depends on you your #HairGoals.
With AMH&M, a custom toner is always included to give your extensions the most natural look. This almost always involves rooting the extensions to make it blend with your own hair seamlessly making them pretty tricky to detect even if your hair is thin. And they lay super flat to your head and can be hard to fish out!
WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE WHEN THEY’RE DONE?
Your hair will be sectioned in such a way that the extensions will fall naturally and you will easily be able to style it as you would your own. The beads are applied strategically so you will have fullness in the front, too!
CAN I PUT MY HAIR UP?
Yes, of course! You can effortlessly pull your extensions up into a high pony or braids without showing the tracks. I use clip-ins for wedding styles all the time, but the Habit Extension Method offers much more versatility and fullness for every day styles and bridal styles. Each hairline is different, so your extensions will have a custom fit to give you as much freedom with your style as possible.
WHAT IS THE MAINTENANCE LIKE?
Move-up appointments should take place about every 5 – 8 weeks to keep your hair happy, healthy and looking its best! Most clients don’t have to get their color or highlights refreshed every time, every other appointment may be a perfect fit for you! It all depends on your hair growth. We always recommend scheduling your appointment on a day with no time restrictions as to not cause any stress on yourself or your stylist. Installing extensions can be a time consuming process!
It takes about 20 minutes (or less) to remove the extensions, a few strategic snips of the string track and they’ll slide right out.
IBE (Invisible Bead Extensions)
IBE extensions create a beautiful mane with maximum comfort and completely hidden attachments for discrete and natural looking results.
Invisible Bead Extensions utilizes rows of extension hair that wrap around the head in a horseshoe shape. Typically, an IBE application is made up of between 1-3 rows of hair. The rows or hair are attached by anchoring a row of beads in a horseshoe around your head, and then stitching the extension hair to it. The whole process, including coloring, takes between three to four and a half hours to complete. The beads remain hidden throughout the entire wear of your extensions under the wefts of hair placed above and below the beaded row.

CAN I GO SWIMMING AND DO ACTIVITIES WITH MY NBR™ HAIR EXTENSIONS?
Yes, you can swim and do activities with your NBR™ Hair Extensions. We suggest wearing it in a loose braid or ponytail and brushing with a wet brush and leave-in conditioner every time you get out of the water.
HOW OFTEN DO I HAVE TO GET NEW HAIR?
We suggest getting new hair every 4-6 months.

Hotheads® Hair Extensions are human hair, adhesive weft extensions that are applied without the need for tools or heat. Hotheads Hair Extensions are uniquely designed to lay completely seamless and undetectable in the hair. Manufactured with amazing quality human remy hair with the cuticle intact allows our hair to be reapplied up to 3 times, while still looking and feeling amazing. Clients will get 8 to 10 weeks of wear from each application.
WHERE DOES THE HAIR COME FROM?
Our hair is 100% cuticle on Remy human hair, from India. The extension itself is hand made in Bangladesh with products from Asia, Europe and the US.
Bellami Tape-Ins
BELLAMI tape-in hair extensions’ unique polyurethane adhesive tape create a secure and comfortable weft while worn, as well as easy removal and reapplication for the stylist.
Our extensions are 100% human hair that have gone through its own dyeing process, and although they were constructed to accept color, we do suggest getting a professional opinion by an experienced colorist. Dyeing may lead to shortening the lifespan of your BELLAMI’s and possibly cause damage if not done correctly. We also recommend not lightening or using any bleaching agents.
We do not recommend dying Balayage or Ombre sets as they have been processed multiple times. Due to the processing they have gone through they do not take to dying well.
Please keep in mind, that if chosen to dye BELLAMIS, it is up to the customers discretion and done at your own risk.
Can I use styling tools on my BELLAMIS?
Yes you can! We always recommend using a heat protectant spray and on a side note some ladies wash them first to take off the vitamin enriched coating.
Can I wash my BELLAMIS?
Absolutely, try staying away from shampoos with sulfate in them and use hydrating conditioners! Leave-in conditioners and heat protectants will prolong your BELLAMIS life span.
How often do I wash my BELLAMIS?
ONLY wash your BELLAMI Hair extensions when they look like they absolutely need it! As they are not attached to your scalp, they don’t receive the natural oils as our own hair does! So there is no need to wash them as often as you wash your own hair.
How long do BELLAMI Hair extensions typically last?
The lifespan of BELLAMIS is anywhere from 3 – 6 months, depending on their usage and how they are cared for and maintained.
FAQ:
Will hair extensions damage my hair and keep it from growing?
During your consultation we will help you find the most gentle method of hair extensions for you that will NOT cause damage to your hair with proper installation and proper home care. In most cases, our guests are able to even grow their natural hair out while wearing extensions!
That being said, hair extensions that are done poorly or are the wrong method for your hair type WILL cause damage. If your stylist gathers too much or too little hair in a section, places it too close to the scalp or in areas that cannot support the weight of the extension, the natural hair will mostly be pulled out. In very rare cases, some women may have a weak follicular funnel that cannot support any hair weight or pressure, and this can be tested prior to the application of hair extensions. In the cases of the wrong hair type being chosen, a woman with not enough density of hair may be recommended a method such as a microbeads, fusion, or weft-type extensions that will cause too much weight for their natural hair and cause it to fall out.
It’s very important to make sure your stylist is fully educated and competent in extensions, and at Twig & Arrow Salon, we pride ourselves on our ability to provide high quality extensions – without the damage.
How long do Hair Extensions Last?
Extension hair needs to be replaced every 6-9 months. Life expectancy of extension hair depends on how well you take care of it.
